Outdoor Fiber Optic Cables – Cables for outdoor applications are engineered to withstand the more demanding conditions seen outside, from environmental extremes to mechanical forces.
Indoor/Outdoor Fiber Optic Cables – These are cables that are designed to meet both the rigorous environment of the outdoors but also can be routed indoors, where flame rating requirements also apply.
Indoor Fiber Optic Cables – These cables are used exclusively within buildings and must have a flame-retardant jacket to fit this purpose.
Whether your fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) network design has closures in a buried or aerial environment, one thing remains the same: you need assured environmental protection and quick, incremental subscriber drops. From our experience in the field, we know that not all closures are the same. Corning’s closures are designed with your needs in mind.
ECAM Installations – External and mechanical cable entries (ECAM) allow you to prepare the cable outside of the closure and connect it without disturbing already installed fibers.
Our broad portfolio contains a range of solutions including single or multi-fiber assemblies for both indoor and outdoor applications in various lengths and multiple cable diameters. These optical cable assemblies are available in a wide range of connector types including SC UPC, SC APC, LC UPC, LC APC, ST® Compatible, FC, and MTP®.
And at the core, our assemblies feature Corning® ClearCurve® LBL and ZBL G.657 bend insensitivity fibers, Corning® SMF-28® Ultra G.657.A1 & G.652.D fiber and Corning® ClearCurve® Multimode fibers with OM1, OM2, OM3, OM4 and OM5 bandwith capabilities, our strongest optical fibers capable of withstanding the most challenging environments.

Corning has a wide variety of hardware solutions to choose from to fit your cabling needs. Choose from racks, panels, modules, splice trays, and other structured cabling components.
With proven field-installable connector technology, fiber terminations are fast, easy and reliable. Corning high-precision mechanical splice technology enables fiber optic networks to be installed quickly and cost effectively.
Choose from an array of accessories for your next fiber optic installation including cable fiber access tools, tool kits, polishing film, cleaning accessories, and replacement pieces for previously purchased tool kits.
With the continued expansion and growth in the data center, a well-planned cabling infrastructure is critical. Trends and technologies such as artificial intelligence, augmented and virtual reality, and the Internet of Things are not only driving major changes in our everyday lives, they are also forcing data center owners and operators to evolve, or risk being left behind.
Whether you are operating an enterprise, hyperscale/cloud, or multitenant data center, your infrastructure must address reliability, manageability, scalability, and flexibility. Without a flexible cabling plan capable of easily accommodating common moves, adds, and changes (MACs), your network growth will be limited. A well-planned structured cabling system is capable of meeting the changing data center requirements these new trends are forcing, and can also carry you through several iterations of system equipment solutions and multiple generations of protocol data-rate increases.
Corning is here to help ensure that you have the tools, resources, and support to empower the world through a future-ready, reliable, secure, and cost-effective data center network.

Fiber to the premises (FTTP) is the installation of optical fiber direct to individual buildings such as single-family units, multidwelling units, and businesses to provide high-speed broadband access. FTTP dramatically increases connection speeds and reliability for broadband networks compared to legacy copper infrastructure.
Corning helps network operators stay ahead of demand for high-bandwidth capabilities, so you can deliver on the promise of emerging applications – with solutions that accelerate deployment, improve network performance, and minimize costs. Our FTTP innovations, developed with direct input from our customers, have already delivered fiber connectivity to more than 52 million homes around the world.
